Red Bandit won the Rolex Giraglia in 2023 marking the teams first major Rolex race win. The team opted for a daring and radical strategy to sail an easterly route coming in to Genoa, as the remaining competitors all went for the promising westerly option. The overall victory came down to a tight finish as the closest competitor Lisa R edged ever closer to the finishing line but was ultimately stopped by the dying breeze handing Red Bandit the win by 20 Minutes.

The plan to enter bring the boat to Kiel was a last minute decision as Red Bandit was stopped from competing in the Copa Del Rey to help the King win his own event. Regardless it was a huge honour to compete in our home country and against such strong teams.
